TruNova, powered by TruNorth Dynamics (“TruNova,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy. We work with people and organizations throughout the United States and Canada. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information when you visit trunova.ai, contact us, request information or an estimate, register for or attend one of our events, or otherwise interact with our sales and marketing services.
This policy does not replace the terms of a client agreement or another notice that applies to information we process while delivering services to a client.
Information we collect

Information you provide
- Contact details, such as your name, email address, telephone number, company, and preferred method of contact.
- Information you include in messages, questionnaires, estimate requests, download forms, or other website forms.
- Event and webinar information, such as registration details, attendance, engagement, questions, chat messages, survey responses, and, when disclosed, audio or video recordings.
- Communications and marketing preferences, including requests to receive or stop receiving updates.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through general website forms unless we specifically request it and explain why it is needed.
Information collected automatically
When you use our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect information such as:
- Internet Protocol (IP) address and approximate location.
- Browser, device, and operating system information.
- Pages viewed, links selected, referring pages, dates, times, and interactions with the site.
- Cookie identifiers and similar technical information used for site operation, analytics, security, and marketing measurement.
Information from other services
If you interact with us through a scheduling service, Microsoft Teams, a social media platform, or another third party service, we may receive information that you choose to provide through that service. The third party also processes information under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and similar technologies
Our website is hosted by Rocket.net and uses WordPress . We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, preferences, analytics, and marketing measurement. Website technology may include Google Analytics, LinkedIn, Calendly, and Customer Insights – Journeys website code configured for this site. We primarily use Microsoft Customer Insights – Journeys for email marketing and may also use Mailchimp.
Google Analytics 4
We use a separate Google Analytics 4 property for the TruNova website to understand which pages, resources, and audience paths are useful. The information sent to Google Analytics may include page paths, page titles, and broad, allow-listed audience labels for industry, role lens, and how the audience view was selected. We do not send contact-form names, email addresses, company names, job titles, or message content to Google Analytics.
Google Signals is disabled for this website. We do not use Google Analytics advertising personalization, and the website sends advertising storage, advertising user data, and advertising personalization signals as denied. The Google Analytics data-retention setting for this property is 14 months. Google processes information under its own terms and privacy notice; see Google’s privacy and terms.
The website presents an analytics notice with controls to allow or decline analytics. The choice is remembered in the browser and can be revisited through the Privacy choices control in the site footer. Separately, first-party tn_aud and tn_role cookies may remember an allow-listed industry or role lens for up to 90 days. Those cookie values are not intended to identify a person.
You can adjust your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
Some analytics or advertising technologies may allow providers to collect information about your activity over time or across websites. Depending on applicable law, this activity may be considered targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal data. You may contact us using the information below to opt out where applicable.
How we share information
We may share personal information with:
- Service providers that support website hosting, forms, customer relationship management, analytics, marketing, email, scheduling, event hosting, security, and other business operations. These providers may include Rocket.net, Microsoft, Customer Insights – Journeys, Google, Calendly, and other providers supporting our operations.
- Professional advisers, such as attorneys, accountants, auditors, and insurers, when reasonably necessary.
- Government authorities or other parties when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
- A buyer, successor, or other relevant party in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some state laws define “sale” or “sharing” broadly enough to include certain analytics or advertising disclosures even when no money changes hands. Those activities and the related choices are described below.
Microsoft Teams meetings and webinars
When you register for or attend a Microsoft Teams meeting or webinar organized by TruNova, we may receive registration, attendance, engagement, chat, question and answer, survey, and recording information associated with the event. We use that information to operate the event, communicate with attendees, provide requested materials, improve future events, and follow up about relevant TruNova services.
Microsoft also processes information when it provides Teams and related Microsoft 365 services. For more information, review the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to maintain business records, meet legal or contractual requirements, resolve disputes, and protect our systems. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and why it was collected.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Your choices and privacy rights
You may:
- Unsubscribe from marketing email by using the unsubscribe link in the message.
- Use your browser settings to manage cookies and similar technologies.
- Ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a copy of personal information associated with you.
- Ask us to opt you out of certain targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or profiling activities where those rights apply.

This section supplements the rest of this policy for residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws. The rights available to you depend on your state and whether the applicable law covers TruNova or the particular information involved.

During the previous 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information:

- Customer record and professional information: company, job related information, services of interest, preferred contact method, messages, requests, and business relationship information.

- Approximate geolocation: general location inferred from an IP address.
- Audio, visual, and electronic information: webinar or meeting recordings, chat, questions, survey responses, and other event content when applicable and disclosed.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information through our general website forms and do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit under California law. Please do not provide sensitive information unless we specifically request it and explain why it is needed.
Sources, purposes, and recipients
We collect this information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from service providers, event platforms, scheduling services, social media platforms, referral sources, and business partners. We use it for the purposes described in How we use information.
We may disclose each category above to service providers and contractors that support our operations. We may also disclose identifiers, internet activity, approximate location, and related inferences to analytics or advertising partners. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Sale, sharing, and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. However, our use of some analytics, advertising, or marketing technologies may be considered a sale, sharing for cross context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising under certain state laws. The categories that may be involved are identifiers, internet activity, approximate location, and related inferences. The recipients are analytics and advertising partners.
You may submit an opt-out request by emailing hello@trunova.ai with the subject line Privacy Opt-Out. You may also use your browser settings to limit cookies. We will not require you to create an account to submit an opt-out request.
California privacy rights
If the California Consumer Privacy Act applies, California residents may have the right to:
- Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, the sources, the purposes for collection and use, and the categories of recipients.
- Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.
- Limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information, if applicable.
- Receive equal service and pricing when exercising privacy rights.
- Use an authorized agent to make a request.
We do not currently offer financial incentives or differences in price or service related to the collection or use of personal information.

To exercise a right, use the request method in Your choices and privacy rights. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with the subject line Privacy Appeal. We will explain our decision and provide any additional information required by your state’s law.
Retention by category
We use the following criteria to determine retention:
- Contact, inquiry, estimate, and business relationship information is kept for the relationship, reasonable follow-up, and any additional period required for legal, accounting, security, or dispute resolution purposes.
- Marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe, request deletion, or the information is no longer useful, subject to limited suppression records used to honor opt-outs.
- Event and webinar information is kept as needed to operate the event, provide materials, follow up, improve future events, and meet legal or contractual requirements. Recordings are kept for the period disclosed for the event or while they remain useful for the stated purpose.
- Website logs, cookie identifiers, and analytics data are kept according to our operational needs and the retention settings of the applicable provider.
We periodically review retained information and delete, anonymize, or aggregate it when it is no longer reasonably needed.
Children’s privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
