Premium is a per user license for cloud flows, attended desktop flows, and process mining within service limits. Process and Hosted Process are bot licenses for unattended automation. A bot can run one unattended desktop flow at a time on a machine, so concurrent runs may need additional bots. Hosted Process includes a Microsoft hosted virtual machine. Dataverse capacity is pooled at the tenant level, and software automated by an unattended bot may require separate licensing. Prices can vary by country, agreement, taxes, and checkout terms.

What changes the implementation budget?
- The number of flows, triggers, actions, approvals, branches, retries, and exception paths affects build and test work. Define how the flow recognizes completed work so a retry does not create a duplicate business record.
- Premium or custom connectors, on premises gateways, service accounts, connection references, data loss prevention policies, and request limits shape the design and operating model.
- Attended or unattended RPA, device and bot count, machine access, desktop application changes, concurrency, and hosted virtual machine needs determine the work beyond a cloud flow.

A flow can respond to Power BI events or request a dataset refresh where the connector and workspace support it. Confirm workspace permissions, source refresh timing, gateway availability, and how failed refreshes should be reported.

Power Automate Process is $150 per bot per month paid yearly for unattended automation. Hosted Process is $215 per bot per month paid yearly and includes a Microsoft hosted virtual machine. A bot can execute one unattended desktop flow run at a time on a machine, so concurrent runs may need more bots. Other software accessed by the automation may have its own license terms.
Can we automate a process across Dataverse, Microsoft 365, and an on premises system?
Power Automate has connectors for Microsoft and non Microsoft services, and some on premises connections use a data gateway. The design still needs a clear data owner, credential model, data policy, request budget, retry behavior, and a plan for what happens when one system is unavailable. Premium or custom connector requirements can affect licensing.
How do we control flow ownership and failures?
Use solution aware flows, named owners or service accounts, connection references, environment policies, run history, alerts, and a documented recovery path. Build retries and duplicate protection around the business record rather than assuming every failed action can simply be run again.
