Power Pages
Power Pages lets you build secure, low-code external websites and customer portals on your existing Dataverse data, without waiting on a development backlog. Your customers would probably enjoy retiring the 'just checking on this' email too.
Why Power Pages
Give the right people a safe front door
Power Pages helps teams build external websites and portals around Dataverse data. The useful design question is which audiences need anonymous or authenticated access, which records they can see or change, and how the site hands work back to internal teams.
What you can do with Power Pages
Low-code design studio
Visual drag-and-drop tools let anyone build pages, forms, and lists without writing code.
Secure external and partner access
Granular web roles, permissions, and identity providers such as Microsoft, LinkedIn, and Google are built in.
Dataverse-powered portals
Uses your existing Dataverse data models for external access without a separate integration project.
AI and Copilot for speed
Generates content, forms, and AI-powered agents to run the portal experience.
Sound familiar?
When Power Pages is worth a closer look
Start with the work that needs to change. These are useful reasons to assess the fit.
- External users, partners, customers, or members need a branded website experience over defined business data.
- Dataverse can remain the system of record and the organization can define table permissions, web roles, and page access.
- The team can own identity, content, accessibility, monitoring, support, and the site changes that follow launch.
What changes for your team
| Pain point | The fix | The result |
|---|---|---|
| A development backlog delays every external site | A low-code design studio with ready-made templates | Portals launch in days, not quarters |
| The portal and the business data live in separate systems | Direct Dataverse integration | One source of truth, no sync work |
| Portal security ends up as a DIY project | Built-in roles, authentication, web application firewall, and geo filtering | Secure and compliant, with no surprises |
| A static site can’t help users find what they need | Copilot-powered content and pages | Smarter, dynamic portals with AI |

Software pricing and implementation costs
Published entry tiers are shown below. Authenticated capacity is sold in packs of 100 users per website per month; anonymous capacity uses packs of 500. Higher volume tiers and pay as you go are available. Users accessing more than one site can require additional capacity. Confirm website counts, usage, and storage before purchasing.
| Plan or option | Published US price | Billing and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Power Pages authenticated users, tier 1 | $200.00 | per 100 users/site/month capacity pack, paid yearly; one pack minimum |
| Power Pages anonymous users, tier 1 | $75.00 | per 500 users/site/month capacity pack, paid yearly; one pack minimum |

What changes the implementation budget?
- The number of sites, anonymous and authenticated audiences, identity providers, registration rules, content areas, languages, and expected monthly users affects capacity planning and design.
- Tables, relationships, data volume, table permissions, page permissions, web roles, consent, and the boundary between public and authenticated data determine the security and testing work.
- Forms, lists, search, file handling, Power Automate workflows, Copilot features, custom styling, accessibility testing, deployment environments, and support ownership shape the delivery scope.

Works with your wider business
Keep the tools. Connect the work.
Microsoft Dataverse
Power Pages forms, lists, and table data can use Dataverse as the business data layer. Configure table permissions, web roles, page permissions, and authentication together, then test anonymous and authenticated access with representative records.
Power Automate
A site submission can start a flow for routing, notification, or a controlled update. Confirm the trigger, Dataverse permissions, connection credentials, data policies, error path, and the internal owner who will act on the result.
Copilot Studio
A Copilot Studio agent can be published to a Power Pages experience when the channel, authentication, knowledge sources, and action permissions are designed together. Confirm the credit model, data boundary, fallback path, and human handoff before exposing the agent externally.

Questions about Power Pages
Before you decide
How is Power Pages priced for authenticated and anonymous visitors?
The published base subscription prices are $200 per 100 authenticated users per website per month and $75 per 500 anonymous users per website per month, both paid yearly. Microsoft also publishes lower per pack prices at defined volume minimums. Packs are assigned at the environment level and apply to one website for a calendar month. Power Pages also has a pay as you go option based on actual use.
Can Power Pages safely expose Dataverse data?
It can when the data boundary is deliberately configured. Authentication identifies the audience, web roles and table permissions control what users can access, and page permissions protect site content. Review anonymous access, authenticated roles, record ownership, file access, and negative test cases before publishing a table or form.
Can a Power Pages site trigger internal workflows?
A site can hand submissions to Power Automate and Dataverse workflows. The implementation should define the form validation, table permissions, connection identity, routing rules, duplicate handling, notification owner, and failure path so a public request does not disappear into an unmanaged process.
